Concealed Carry Permits
Did you know that there are some states who have "shall issue"  laws on the books for CCW?  Thats right, some states actually trust their  law abiding citizens to carry a concealed weapon for self protection.     For instance Florida will issue a CCW to any law abiding US citizen!  You  don't even need to live in Florida to get one!  Its all done by mail!  Wow,  what a concept!  A state which actually recognizes the 2nd Amendment!  Not  only that, the staff are extremely friendly!  They are such a pleasure to deal with!  You are actually treated with repect and dignity!  Imagine that!  It sure makes it rough dealing with some of the local PD's around here after such a pleasant, no-hastle experience.

Now I have no intentions of going to Florida anytime soon, and if I do, I probably won't bring my firearms, but I decided  to get my Florida CCW just to support the those states who have a "shall  issue" law on the books.  To get your Florida CCW by mail, go to their website  at: http://licgweb.doacs.state.fl.us/ and  request an application.   You will receive your information packet within  a week.  They are very efficient down there (did I mention pleasant too?!?!?)

Maine is another "shall issue" state.  Once you get your Florida CCW, you can then apply for one in Maine.  All you need there is to be a US citizen, no criminal record and hold a CCW from any other state!
